Archpastoral Visit to St Gregory of Nyssa Mission, Kingston

On Sunday, January, 26th, 2014, His Grace Bishop Irénée paid an archpastoral visit to St. Gregory of Nyssa Orthodox Mission in Kingston, Ontario.

Concelebrating were Protodeacon Nazari Polataiko, the new deacon Justin Mitchell, Priest Nicholas Young, and Priest Andrew Anderson, pastor of the mission.

A major moment in the morning was the awarding of the medal of St. Tikhon, Patriarch of Moscow and Apostle to America, to the servant of God Reader Thomas Nadavallil, recognizing his over 30 years of untiring labor for the building up of the Kingston mission. His wife Susan was recognized with a bouquet.

During the service four young men received the blessing to wear the subdeacons' orarion: Vadim Ignatov, Theodore Collins, Alexander Kovalev, and Nicholas Liabotis.
