Summer Course on Modern Orthodox Theology

March 14, 2016

The Orthodox School of Theology at Trinity College (University of Toronto) is offering a summer course on Modern Orthodox Theology in May-June 2016. The course studies Orthodox theology from the fall of Constantinople in 1453 to the present, with a focus on the period since the mid-nineteenth century, especially the Russian religious renaissance and neopatristic theology. Historical, biographical and thematic, issue-oriented approaches are used in the course, drawing on both primary and secondary sources.

The instructor is Dr Paul Ladouceur (Trinity College and Université Laval), who is also a member of our OCA parish in Rawdon, QC.

The course is being offered both in class (two evenings a week, Mondays and Thursdays, at Trinity College) and online. The first class is Thursday, May 5th. Students in the Toronto School of Theology may register for this course online using ROSI.
