His Eminence Archbishop SERAPHIM (Storheim) is the Archbishop of Ottawa and the spiritual head of the Archdiocese of Canada, Orthodox Church in America.
Born in Alberta of Norwegian and Scottish ancestry, Archbishop Seraphim is a convert to Orthodoxy. He was consecrated to the episcopacy in 1987 after wide experience as an Orthodox priest in Finland, Alberta, North Carolina (USA), Ontario, and Manitoba.

In addition to his service as the Arch-pastor of the parishes of his territorially very large diocese, Archbishop Seraphim also serves as:
- The Holy Synod of Bishops of the OCA in various capacities. He served as Secretary for almost 19 years.
- Member on the Bishops’ level and Co-chair (since 2005) of the North American Roman Catholic – Orthodox Dialogue committee on behalf of the Standing Conference of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of North America (SCOBA).
- Member on the Bishops’ level and Co-chair of the Canadian Roman Catholic – Orthodox Dialogue committee.
- At the pleasure of the Metropolitan

He lives south of Ottawa, at the Archdiocesan Chancery, and Centre, "Fair Haven". He also leads an informal monastic grouping, the Monastic Community of St Silouan the Athonites, which unites in prayer monks and nuns scattered across the country.
