After the work on January 19 the parishioners of the Holy Resurrection Sobor gathered on the beach in Kittsilano for Blessing the water of the Pacific Ocean. There were 34 people.

After the service not less than half the parishioners dipped in the consecrated Pacific Ocean.

After changing cloths we drank tea and ate some prepared food. Everybody’s inspiration was difficult to stop – nobody wanted to go home. The feeling of unity with each other and our God we shall remember for ever. Next year the number of parishioners on the blessing of the Ocean will definitely increase.
