Completing renovations undertaken over the past year, St Aidan of Lindisfarne Church in Cranbrook, BC has now replaced its cupola.

The rector of the parish, Fr Andrew Applegate, writes:

If you haven’t been by the church over the last couple weeks and you are in Cranbrook, plan to come by and see our beautiful new cupola! In my opinion there is not a more beautiful and perfectly crafted cupola in all of Canada!

This past week, some of the children from St Nicholas Church in Narol, Manitoba spent an afternoon learning about why we use bread in the Orthodox Church, what it is used for, and its importance for us as Christians.

They also learned about the relationship between making prosphora and praying and that our thanksgiving and prayers to God, can be expressed through and with the simplest tasks, even baking bread. 

A wonderful time baking and praying.

His Eminence Archbishop Irénée celebrated Divine Liturgy on the Feast of the Annunciation at St Benoît de Nursie Parish, Montréal. Concelebrating with His Eminence were Fr Dragos Giulea, Fr Dimitri Choueiry, Archimandrite Marc (Pierre), Archdeacon Amvrosi Mlodzik, and Deacon Nicolas Svetlovsky.

This month the Winnipeg Orthodox Clergy Association celebrated two services in our parish communities. 

For the Sunday of the Cross, the Mission Station of Christ the Saviour in Winkler hosted the first non-Winnipeg based WOCA service, with many clergy and faithful from Orthodox Churches in Winnipeg making the two-hour road trip down south. It was a blessed service that was followed by a meal in the home of one of the mission's members.
