On May 14, 2015, the Orthodox Church in America marked the 50th anniversary of the repose of His Eminence, Metropolitan Leonty, who served as Archbishop of New York and Metropolitan of All America and Canada from 1950 until his repose in 1965.

The final draft of the revised Statute of the Orthodox Church in America, slated to be presented for adoption at the upcoming 18th All-American Council (AAC) in Atlanta, GA July 20-24, 2015, is now available on-line.

Representatives from every diocese of the Orthodox Church in America, Chancery clergy, members of the Department of Pastoral Life, and an advisory panel gathered at the Chancery here April 28-29, 2015 for a Pastoral Life Colloquium to discuss issues facing clergy and their families. After driving through the mountains of Armenia from Yerevan, the nation’s capital, on April 25, 2015, His Beatitude, Metropolitan Tikhon, Archpriest John Jillions and Roman Ostash were offered a warm welcome at the Georgian border by His Eminence, Metropolitan Gerasime, accompanied by bishops, clergy and faithful of the Orthodox Church of Georgia, after which they were received at the guest house of Holy Trinity Monastery in Tbilisi, the Republic’s capital.
