On December 12 and 13, 2014 the Patronal Feastday of St. Herman of Alaska Orthodox Sobor was celebrated in Edmonton, Alberta. The occasion was marked with the visitation of His Grace, Bishop Irénée, and a four part lecture series, delivered by special guest Fr. Michael Oleksa, from the Diocese of Alaska.

On the feast of St. Nicholas, His Grace Bishop Irénée of Ottawa and Canada visited St Nicholas Orthodox Church in Narol, Manitoba.

Vladika Irénée ordained Matthew Beynon (from the Mission of the Life Giving Springs of the Theotokos) to the holy Diaconate, along with Stephen Sharman, Yuri Hladio and Leighton Knapp (from the same mission) to the Subdiaconate.

The holy wonderworking icon of the Mother of God "The Abbess of the Holy Mount Athos", along with the holy relics of St Gabriel of Mount Athos, visited Christ the Saviour Sobor in Toronto over the past several days, 15 - 19 November.

Also in Toronto, on Tuesday 18 November, an akathist was served before this holy icon at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation at which several of our priests were present.
