Olga Leonidovna Jurgens fell asleep peacefully in the Lord on Thursday evening, 6 February, 2020.  She reposed in Ottawa, Ontario, in the Seniors’ Residence where she had been living for several years. 

Olga Leonidovna Jurgens was born in Milan, Italy, on 30 June, 1926, to Leonid P M Jurgens and his wife Anna Alexandrovna Solodovnikova.

On Wednesday, November 13, 2019, the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Orthodox Church in America concelebrated the Divine Liturgy for the feast of Saint John Chrysostom.  At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy His Eminence Archbishop Michael of New York and New Jersey, Secretary of the Holy Synod, read a proclamation of the Holy Synod announcing the anniversary celebrations

All Saints of North America Church in Hamilton is hosting a presentation by Fr Philip McCaffery on "Why Lukewarm Christianity Has Nothing to Offer Our Kids" on Friday 15 November. Prayers begin at 6pm, followed by a snack and the talk.

Many Christian families advise their kids to play it safe – do their homework, play by the rules, fit in and be accepted while holding a socially acceptable flavour of “Christianity”.  But can such “faith” ever last?  Does it make any difference in real life?

On Sunday, 6 October, 2019, His Eminence, Irénée, Archbishop of Ottawa and Canada, arrived at his Cathedral of the Annunciation to the Theotokos-Saint Nicholas in Ottawa, Ontario, to serve the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy. 

Archbishop Irénée was greeted at the entrance to the cathedral at 10am, after which followed the Entrance Prayers and the Vesting. Upon the conclusion of the vesting, the Acolyte Joseph Farid Wazem was brought to him.  After the prayers, Vladyka Irénée tonsured Joseph to be a Reader in the cathedral.
